How to Mark a Procedure as Consult Only?
This user guide explains how to mark a procedure as consult only in the DigiMEDSPA Portal.
Understanding Terminologies
Procedure
A procedure is a professionally administered health or cosmetic treatment performed under medical supervision to improve wellness, skin health, or physical appearance.
Consult Only
Consult only is a designation indicating that the procedure is intended solely for consultation purposes and not for actual treatment or billing. This helps schedule appointments for assessment, discussion, or treatment planning.
Mark a Procedure as Consult Only
- To mark a procedure as consult only, the provider must log in with their email and password.Note: After logging in, the provider will only have access to their own charts and will not be able to view other providers' charts.
- From the EMR Board Tabs, click on ‘’Provider Charts.’’
- On the Chart Audit Screen, find the procedure the provider wants to mark as consult only. Click anywhere on the procedure details, or click the three dots under the action column and select “View.”
Note: A “Chart Audit” is the review of patient records to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with medical regulations, and adherence to treatment protocols. - On the Procedure View Screen, enable the Consult Only toggle to mark the procedure as consultation-only.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear, click “OK” to confirm.
The procedure has been successfully marked as consult only!
