Change the Duration of a Booking
This user guide provides detailed steps to change the duration of an existing booking (appointment). In our portal, the term "booking" is used to refer to appointments.

Duration of a Booking
The Duration of a Booking is the time set aside for an appointment or service. It shows how long a patient will receive the specific treatment or consultation, helping the Med SPA manage its schedule and resources efficiently.
Change the Duration of a Booking (Appointment) via the Bookings App
- The user can change the duration of a booking by editing the booking through the “Bookings App” accessible via three entry points.
- From the EMR Board Tabs, select “Bookings”.
- From the Left Navigation, click on the “EMR Board” dropdown and select “Bookings”.
- From the EMR Panel, click on “Bookings” under “EMR Board”.
- Once you are inside the Bookings App then from the patient list, click on three dots under the action column and select "Edit" for the specific patient.
- From the EMR Board Tabs, select “Bookings”.
- When you choose the service, the duration for that service will be auto-filled. You can easily adjust the duration by typing in the new time and clicking 'Update Booking' to apply the changes.
Note: The booking duration and service duration are the same because the time allocated for a booking is determined by the duration of the selected service.The duration (in minutes) of your booking has been successfully updated and saved.
Change the Duration of a Booking (Appointment) via the Patients App
- The user can adjust the duration of a booking by editing it through the Patients App.
- From the EMR Board Tabs, click on ‘’Patients.’’
- Once you are inside the Patients App, click the three dots under the action column, and select 'View Patient Profile' for the specific patient.
- In the Patient Profile, the Summary tab opens by default. To view bookings, click on the 'Bookings' tab.
- Click on three dots under the action column and select "Edit" for that specific patient.
- From the EMR Board Tabs, click on ‘’Patients.’’
- Once you choose the service, the duration for that service will be auto-filled. You can easily adjust the duration for the booking by typing in the new time and clicking 'Update Booking' to apply the changes.
The duration (in minutes) of your booking has been successfully updated and saved. Note: For detailed instructions on editing a booking refer to our ‘’Reschedule / Edit a Booking’’ user guide.
