Add / Edit Booking Notes

This user guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add booking notes while booking an appointment through express booking. In our portal, the term "booking" is used to refer to appointments.

Understanding Terminologies

Booking Notes

Booking notes are additional details or comments added to an appointment to provide important information about the patient or the booked service. These notes can include preferences, special instructions, or other relevant details that help ensure a smooth and personalized experience during the appointment.

Add Booking Notes via Bookings Screen

  1. The user can add Booking Notes while creating a new appointment through Express Booking accessible via Bookings Screen from four entry points.
    1. From the EMR Board, click on ‘’New Express Booking.’’
    2. From the EMR Board tabs, click on ‘’Bookings.’’
    3. From the Left Navigation, click on the “EMR Board” dropdown and select “Bookings”.
    4. From the EMR Panel, click on “Bookings” under “EMR Board”.
  2. From the Bookings list, click ‘’New Express Booking’’ button in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Once you are in the Express Booking form, add "Booking Notes" along with other required booking and patient details. Once done, click Create Booking to save the notes and appointment.
  4. To use Dot Phrases, users must first create and save these repetitive phrases in the Dot Phrases App. Once saved, you can easily insert them by typing a dot wherever needed.
    Note: Dot Phrases can be created and managed within the 'Clinical Documentation' in the portal. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the “Add / Edit Dot Phrases” tutorial.The Booking Notes have been successfully added!

Add Booking Notes via Patients Profile

  1. The user can book an appointment through Express Booking accessible via Patients profile.
    1. From the EMR Board tabs, click on ‘’Patients.’’
  2. Once you are inside the Patients list, click on three dots under the action column and select "View Patient Profile" for the specific patient.
  3. In the Patient Profile, the Summary will open by default, then click on the ‘’Bookings’’ tab.
  4. Once inside the Bookings list, click on ‘’New Express Booking’’ in the top right corner of the screen.
  5. Enter the required booking and patient details. Add booking notes on the same page as the appointment information. Once done, click ‘Create Booking’ to save the notes along with the appointment.

Edit Booking Notes

  1. The user can edit the Booking Notes while editing the booking via Bookings Screen.
    1. Once you are inside the Bookings, click on three dots under the action column and select "Edit" for the specific booking.
  2. The user can edit the Booking Notes while editing the booking via the Patients Profile.
    1. Once you are inside the Patients list, choose a patient profile for which you want to edit the Booking. Go to the Bookings tab and click on three dots under the action column and select "Edit" for that specific patient.
      Note: For detailed instructions on editing a booking, refer to our “Reschedule/ Edit a Booking” user guide.
  3. Edit the Booking Notes, make the desired changes and click on ‘’Update Booking.’’
    The Booking Notes have been successfully edited!Note: Booking Notes can also be edited by clicking the "Edit Booking" button in the top right corner of the View Booking Page.
