Add Dot Phrase

1. The user can create a dot phrase by accessing the ‘’Dot Phrases’’ through the Clinical Documentation App from two entry points.
   1. From the EMR Panel, click on ‘’Dot Phrases’’ under “Clinical Documentation.”
      
   2. From the Left Navigation, open the “EMR Admin” dropdown, select “Clinical Documentation”, and then choose “Dot Phrases” from the subsequent dropdown menu.
      
2. To create a new dot phrase, click the ‘’New Dot Phrase’’ button in the top right corner of the screen.
   
3. Fill in the required information, including Name, Title, and Description of the dot phrase. After adding the details, click 'Create Dot Phrase' to save it.
   The Dot Phrase has been successfully created!Note: Dot phrases often use concise, descriptive titles identifying the treatment (e.g., .botox, microneedling). Dot phrase descriptions include frequently used details like treatment overviews, benefits, results, and aftercare, ensuring consistency and efficiency in documentation.

Edit Dot Phrase

4. From the dot phrases list, click on three dots under the action column and select "Edit" for the specific dot phrase.
   
5. Make the desired changes in the dot phrase. Once done, click “Update Dot Phrase.’’
   The Dot Phrase has been successfully edited! Note: Dot Phrase can also be edited by clicking the "Edit Dot Phrase" button in the top right corner of the View Dot Phrase Page.

Delete Dot Phrase

6. From the dot phrases list, click on three dots under the action column and select "Delete" for the specific dot phrase.
   The Dot Phrase has been successfully deleted!Note: Dot Phrase can also be deleted by clicking the ‘’Delete Dot Phrase" button in the top right corner of the View Dot Phrase Page.

Utilize Dot Phrases While Booking an Appointment Through Express Booking

7. The user can utilize dot phrases while booking an appointment through express booking. From the EMR Board, click on ‘’New Express Booking’’ in the top right corner of the screen.
   Note: The advance booking feature lacks the option to add notes, so users cannot include dot phrases when scheduling appointments through advanced booking.
8. To use dot phrases, type a dot to quickly insert your pre-saved text wherever needed. Before that, you must create and save these repetitive phrases in the Dot Phrases App.
   Note: Fill out all the required information in order to create a booking. Refer to our ‘’Booking an Appointment Through Express Booking’’ for detailed instructions.

Utilize Dot Phrases While Creating a Health Procedure

9. The user can utilize dot phrases while creating a Health Procedure. From the EMR Board, click on the “MD Room” tab and select "New Health Procedure" to create one.
   
10. In Step 4 of creating a health procedure, you can utilize Dot Phrases. To use dot phrases, type a dot to quickly insert your pre-saved text wherever needed. Before that, you must create and save the phrases in the Dot Phrases App.

Utilize Dot Phrases While Creating a Purchase Order

11. The user can utilize dot phrases while creating a Purchase Order. From the EMR Panel, click on “Purchase Order” under “Products & Inventory”.
    
12. To add a new purchase order, click "New Purchase Order" in the top right corner of the screen.
    
13. You can utilize dot phrases in the Note field while creating a purchase order. To use dot phrases, type a dot to quickly insert your pre-saved text wherever needed. Before that, you must create and save the phrases in the Dot Phrases App.

Utilize Dot Phrases While Creating an Inventory Reconciliation

14. The user can utilize dot phrases while creating an Inventory Reconciliation. From the EMR Panel, click on “Inventory Reconciliation” under “Products & Inventory”.
    
15. To add a new inventory reconciliation, click on the “New Inventory Reconciliation‘’ button in the top right corner of the screen.
    Note: The Expected Stock, In Stock, and Deviation fields remain blank for reconciliations that are unresolved and saved as drafts.
16. In Step 2 of creating an inventory reconciliation, you can utilize dot phrases in the Note field. To use dot phrases, type a dot to quickly insert your pre-saved text wherever needed. Before that, you must create and save the phrases in the Dot Phrases App.
